General I-stats Questions
I-stats is a real-time web analytics tool that allows you to track the visitors of your website for marketing purposes. It is not spyware. All the information gathered by I-stats is publicly available when anyone visits any website. I-stats organizes this information in a way that allows you to better understand your audience and enhance your web pages.

2. How does I-stats get my visitors' information?
When you sign up for an account with I-stats, your websites are added as I-stats projects. Each project is assigned to an unique project id. In order for your visitors' information to be sent to I-stats, you must add an HTML code to every web page on which you wish to use I-stats. This code looks like this:

When a visitor comes to your website, this code is called and all of the publicly available information is sent to I-stats. We organize this data in a way that can be used for marketing purposes without violating privacy. We do NOT set any cookie to your visitor's computer, and information such as addresses, names, phone numbers or anything that personally identifies your visitors can NOT and would NOT be used by I-stats. NEVER! We value your privacy and the privacy of your visitors. We would NEVER do anything to infringe upon that and we would report any attempt of doing so.

3. What do I have to do to start using I-stats?
We are glad you asked! First you need to decide which I-stats package best fits your needs: I-stats OnDemand or I-stats Server, and then choose from basic or advanced. Our registration process provides detailed information on all features, requirements and set-up instructions.

4. Can I use the same HTML code on another website?
No, the HTML code is unique by project. Depending on the type of account you have, you may have up to 10 projects with just one account, but each project would have a unique HTML code.
I-stats OnDemand
1. What are the advantages of using I-stats OnDemand?
There are a few advantages and disadvantages of I-stats OnDemand, depending on your needs. I-stats OnDemand is easier and quicker to set up. All you need to do is create your account and place the HTML code on your web pages and I-stats starts gathering the information right away. Updates, version upgrades and support are free of charge (or included in the monthly membership fee). You do have the regular cost and in the long run it costs more than I-stats Server.

2. Is there any term obligation for this service?
You can cancel I-stats OnDemand at any time, but the fee already paid is not refundable. We require a minimum six-month membership commitment.
I-stats Server
1. What are the advantages of using I-stats Server?
There are a few advantages and disadvantages of I-stats Server, depending on your needs. I-stats Server is a license of I-stats Web Analytics software to be installed on your server. The set-up is very easy, but it does take a little more time than using I-stats OnDemand. You only pay once, and updates and support are free of charge. Version upgrades are an additional fee depending on the number of new features. No one will have access to your data.

2. Can I use the same license on other websites?
The use of I-stats Server must comply with our general Terms and Conditions as well as with the User License Term Agreement. You may only use I-stats Server on the website address provided when creating an account. I-stats will provide an unique license code that may only be used when installing I-stats Server at the URL provided at sign-up.
3. Are support or upgrades free?
Updates and support are free of charge. Version upgrades require an additional fee. Upgrades are not required.
